As you may have noticed, I’m a pretty big fan of raglan-sleeved, crewneck sweatshirts, especially in heather gray. It seems a bit of a challenge to get a good quality, well-fitting version of something like this without spending a lot more than you’d ever dream of spending on a sweatshirt. Via a follower, I recently found out about American Giant, a San Fransisco company that is making tshirts and sweats in the U.S. at very competitive prices: $25-30 tshirts and $59 sweatshirts (more for buttons/zippers/hoods).
Use my referral link and get 40% off your first purchase and I’ll get a $10 credit. Woo! Everyone wins. Even without the promo discount, I think you’d be very hard-pressed to find product like this that is made in the US at such a low price. Crazy, really.
Not sure how it fits but if you’re a “medium”, maybe it’s worth checking out this pink gingham, “classic fit” Dockers x Miller’s Oath shirt that’s on sale at Bloomingdale’s for $60.
I’ve posted these RL hikers at least two times previously when they’ve gone on sale and this is the lowest I’ve seen them go. $50 if you’re a size 12, 14, or 15.
If you’re a Large (42-44” chest) or XL (46-48” chest) and looking for a great fitting oxford, Rugby RL has their classic solid shirts in blue, white, and pink on sale for $29.99 right now. Their only negative is the pre-distressing along the edges of the collar, placket, and cuffs. They didn’t used to make them like that and I really wish they would leave that shit alone. If you can get past that, they are pretty great and very good buy at $30 per. Slimmer than Brooks Bros ESF with a collar much preferable to Brooks’ Clifford (although not as substantial as the classic Polo collar).
I posted these PRL hikers a while back when they went on sale. They are again on sale…for under $75 shipped. Use promo codes “BZR29362” or “BZR24415” to knock off the cost of shipping.
You can get a big-ass, 12”x70”, Brooks Brothers wool striped scarf (made in Italy) from Nordstrom right now for under $50. Free standard shipping or local pickup.

Damn, it’s cold today. Wish I had this Barbour waxed down coat at North River Outfitter, now 40% off ($299.40). They’ve got the Bedale (black only) for $225 as well.
Even if you don’t wear Allen Edmonds shoes, their waxed laces are worth a look. And they’re on sale for $0.85 a pair with free, no-minimum shipping.
*Edit* I’m not quite sure why it says on the product page for these that they ship in 3-5 weeks. Seems like something that would be in stock all the time. Is there a shoelace production shortage I’m not aware of?
30% off Amazon Shoes over $150 (Allen Edmonds, anyone?)
$100 off a $325 pair of shoes is not bad.
Still don’t know how I feel about hikers like this but I’m coming around to them. Something about the lacing going nearly all the way down the vamp makes them look exaggerated like an action figure boot to me.
Anyway, if you’re into the style and don’t mind that embossed logo on the side, RL has these all the way up through size 15D for about $115 shipped. Promo code “NOV0307” for the extra 15% off.
It’s on sale: Levi’s raw selvedge 501s — Made from White Oak Cone Mills denim in the U.S.A., these jeans will cost you $133.50 with coupon code LABORDAY, which takes 25% off of all Levi’s items online. Also available in 505 and 511.
If that’s still out of your price range but you still want selvedge jeans, then consider the non-U.S.A.-made jeans, the 501 Shrink-to-fit, 505s and the 514s for $73.50, and the 511s for $88.50.
I have a pair of the 501s and would recommend sizing down in your waist size by 2” (ie: I’m normally a 34” waist, so I got the 32”).
Deal ends September 6th.
