Thrifter’s Delight.
This is the thrifter’s uniform. Slip ons, neutral colors and a bag to hold stuff (so your hands are free). It’s also a good summer uniform, easy, comfortable, slightly off key (khaki jeans rather than chinos). A look that’s super casual, but still pulled together.
Also, true story, I was picking my girlfriend up from work a couple weeks ago in almost this exact outfit (tassel loafers rather than venetian) and her boss asked “are you going somewhere special?” which was confusing, because we were just going thrifting. Turned out she asked because I was “all dressed up”.
THIS IS THE LEVEL YOU NEED TO DRESS AT TO BE DRESSED UP THESE DAYS.
Sad really.
Just to reiterate that it doesn’t take much to appear put-together these days.
Welcome to my life, new favorite jacket. You look cool and are perfect for this chilly-but-not-cold weather we’re having right now. Many thanks to Epaulet for having this jacket at the lowest sale price on the Internetz and shipping insanely quick.
Yeah, I don’t know.
And yes, oatmeal (not white) ragg wool socks because it is wet and freezing today.
I swear this jacket was made by Wayne Industries and ended up in the Applied Sciences dungeon. But actually, it’s made by Aspesi, an Italian brand I only just recently found out about. It’s a polyimide shell with Thermore® poly insulation and so lightweight and warm it’s unbelievable. I typically don’t go for stuff made from synthetic fabrics but I love this thing. Also, strangely, it photographs brownish but most definitely is deep green in color.
