thereisnogrey: I had to go to the office to grab something and the M turned out to be this “holiday train”. it’s loud in an old train way and the inside is all red and green and the ads are from the 50s or 60s when it was only sensible to put a few colors in a print ad. all of the people who stumbled upon the train unintentionally must have been about as excited to ride it as those who sought it out, because everyone on the train was pretty excited. I read my book and got off at the usual stop, but enjoyed the ride especially much The MTA holiday train is slightly less festive than the CTA holiday train.
