Anonymous asked: Brogue refers to the punched detailing in shoe leather. A cap toe shoe can be brogued, but it's not a wingtip (it doesn't have wings). And there are wingtip shoes that don't have broguing (think of those tacky two-tone patent leather 'tuxedo' shoes).
